Not of Confusion…NO!
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,…. ESV
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. KJV
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people. NIV
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. NLT
instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:16-18
God’s wisdom is not of this earth, this world. The character of God’s wisdom is pure, gentle, peaceable, merciful, sincere, reasonable, righteous. Let us stand still before our God of Wisdom and know that confusion is not of Him. Let us stand firm in His Presence and know the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Let us allow God to rain down all His goodness upon us, that we may walk in this world in His Spirit, sharing Christ to all in our paths.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you. 2 Corinthians 1:12
Father God, I pray that I may stand in the midst of this world and speak, act, attend to those in my life, with godly wisdom that is filled with Your peace, Your gentleness, Your holiness, Your sincerity, Your reason, Your love. Father, I know that this is impossible in my own strength, absolutely impossible. But, Father, You can use me and fill me with Your wisdom as You did Solomon. He asked for wisdom and You provided. I ask for wisdom, LORD. If it is from You, it will be in peace, not of confusion. Thank You, Father, for You have blessed me this day. In the Power of Your Son’s Name, I pray. Amen.
